21 November 06 - 20:53VS2005 HOWTO posted

I got everything building on VS2005 for Propane Injector, but am encountering strange bugs that may be due to the vastly outdated version of PI I put it together with. Also, there's concerns over shader compatibility and other things relating to the silly monopolistic decisions that encumber the Windows platform at large.

18 November 06 - 20:37OpenGL: Longs Peak, Mt. Evans

Looks like the new Khronos ARB has started off by forking OpenGL into a futuristic version (Mt. Evans) for geometry shading and whatnot, and a modern version for today's cards.

It'll be nice to target Longs Peak and then slowly adapt your code over to Mt. Evans as necessary. The future is here. Or at least coming soon.

12 November 06 - 13:18Note to newspaper editors.

A "Carbon Monoxide/Dioxide emissions tax" is not the same thing as a "Carbon tax". Those of us who know what Carbon is are exceptionally disappointed at your moronic shorthand.

Stop it. Or at least give us an idea of how I would tax every atom of carbon in a human being. Okay?

02 November 06 - 11:09How to make crap follow you in SL

Here is a simple script I hacked out earlier this week to make a pet follow me around obnoxiously. It needs some work (for example, making it stop just short of colliding with my player) but this is the generally cleanest method, I think. You'll need some introductory vector math knowledge (as well as LSL events knowledge) to get around with this. (more)
